Punjab Kings Pile On The Misery Of Mumbai Indians. What a game of Cricket this was between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. As you may know that Mumbai Indians have not been able to win a single match this year of the competition. But all the fans and supporters of Mumbai Indians were very hopeful for the fact that that draught will end tonight. So in today’s match, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and was elected to field first. And he said that his team is pretty confident of Chasing down any total and will back themselves to do so tonight also.
So coming out to bat first Punjab Kings did have a great start for their inning and they scored the second-highest powerplay innings score. However, after Mayank’s dismissal, the new batsman came to the crease and scored fast runs. However, the opening stand in itself was the testimony of the way Punjab Kings intended to bat. Also, every batsman that came after the fall of wickets played easily and wanted to express themselves. But the way it looked at the start and a certain total of 200 was on the cards. But Mumbai Indians did some damage control at the end overs to restrict them below 200. So, Punjab Kings were only able to get to 198 and give MI the target of 199 runs.

So Punjab Kings finished with 198 runs on the board. Mumbai Indians coming out to chase also did not have a very great start and lost their openers for 32 odd runs. But it was the youngster Dewald who played an amazing and blistering knock to take his side home nearly. And in the process, he scored 49 runs in which he hit several humongous sixes one of which was 112 meters. And he took Rahul Chahar for 29 runs in the very first over he bowled and finished the over with four sixes in that. So, the finish of this match was purely anti-climatic and Mumbai did the harm to themselves and did it all on its own. And Mumbai would certainly be wondering what went wrong?
So the bad luck for Mumbai Indians continues and they have lost three out of three matches that they have played. Whereas Punjab Kings have won three matches out of the five that they have played. Now the point table in the Indian Premier League is suddenly spicing up and the teams like Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are still at the bottom of the table. But you must be hopeful of the fact that if any team can bounce back from these situations then it would be Mumbai Indians. And that is because they have done it in the past several times. Also, currently, Mumbai Indians are sitting in the bottom half of the points table. And the teams that follow them are Sunrisers Hyderabad.
