DRI Seizes Heroin Of Worth More Than 1400 Crores In Gujarat. This is certainly one of the biggest successes that the directorate of revenue intelligence has had in recent days. And according to the report given by the news site NDTV the directorate of revenue intelligence has seized heroin of more than 1439 crores in worth. And if we talk about the quantity of the heroine that has been seized by the bureau then it is around 205.6 kg. So they found a container near Kandla port in Gujarat and have also arrested one person that might be an importer. And it has been said that the importer has had a connection with Punjab and was one of the wanted names on the list.
So according to DRI, this is the fruit that came after an extensive search operation that the Bureau has conducted over the last few days. So according to the senior police officer, the container was one of the 17 which had arrived at the Kandla Port from Iran between September and October last year. Also, the official said that the container was recovered from one of the ports. And that was used for the operation for a very long time. However, there is said that on April 21 a joint operation of DRI and ATS. And in this, they seized over 200 kg of heroin worth more than 1300 crores. And according to the press release from the bureau, it said that based on the intelligence developed jointly.

Also, with the officers of Gujarat, our Bureau is currently examining a consignment. Which was imported by a Uttarakhand based firm at the port named above. And according to the report the consignment arrived at the Kandla Port from the Bandar Abbas port in Iran. And according to the intelligence report, the consignment imported in 17 containers has around 10318 bags. Also, which had a gross weight of 394 metric tons. And according to the press release this was declared the gypsum powder by the people associated with it. Also, 205.6 kg of heroin which is valued at over 1439 crores has been recovered so far. And that is by the intelligence department and it has been sent for detailed examination.
Also, the release said that the importer was not found at the address that was registered in Uttarakhand. So a Man Hunt was launched across the country to have the importer. And after a long series of searches, the importer was eventually arrested from a small village in Punjab. Under the provisions of the narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances act. Also, the importer had tried to resist and flee. But all his actions were in vain as he was taken by the DRI officers. So it remains to be seen what happens in the upcoming days.
